Is Christianity Good or Bad for the World?

February 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free

Join us to hear Corey Miller (PhD, President/CEO of Ratio Christi) make a compelling case that Christianity is not only true, but also profoundly beneficial to the world. An open Q&A session will follow.

Christianity is increasingly viewed as hateful and harmful. Is Christianity good or bad for the world? After 2,000 years, we have ample evidence to render a verdict. Jesus, the revolutionary, launched the largest movement in human history and changed the world. While the existential question asks whether God exists, the axiological question asks what value-impact God’s existence has on the world. In this exploration, we identify and assess evidence of widely embraced goods and values from rationality and the rise of universities and science to morality and the rise of compassion and charity that are deemed good for the world and then argue that among competing hypotheses Christianity enjoys explanatory scope and power for the existence and proliferation of those values and goods.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: Non-students are technically unable to park on campus. There are suburbs/roads with parking immediately off campus that are a short walk from the Swang Business Center.
